1. Is it aligned with our Principles?
Does this decision reflect the values, standards and purpose that guide everything we build?
2. Who does it serve?
Will this genuinely create value for the people we’re trying to help, or only benefit ourselves?
3. Will it create long-term value?
Are we building something sustainable, or chasing a short-term win at the expense of the future?
4. Is it responsible and ethical?
Is this still the right decision when nobody is watching?
5. Do we have the capability?
Do we have the time, knowledge, resources and commitment to do this properly?
6. What are the potential risks?
What could go wrong, how likely is it, and what can we do to reduce those risks?
7. Will this open new paths?
Great decisions rarely solve only today’s problem. They create opportunities for tomorrow. Ask whether this decision strengthens your future options, encourages innovation and helps you build something that will continue creating value long after the immediate task is complete.
